ABSTRACT

El hiperparatiroidismo primario es posiblemente la endocrinopatía más frecuente después de la diabetes mellitus y el hipertiroidismo. Se describe el caso de una paciente con hiperparatiroidismo de larga evolución, en cuyo cuadro clínico primaron las manifestaciones óseas (dolores y fracturas) y permaneció durante varios años con valores normales de calcio y fósforo. Finalmente fue operada y evolucionó satisfactoriamente.


Primary hyperparathyroidism is the most likely frequent endocrinopathy after diabetes mellitus and hyperthyroidism. The case of a patient with hyperparathyroidism of long progress is described, which clinical pattern was mainly characterized by bone manifestations (pains and fractures). During several years she had normal calcium and phosphorus values, and finally she was operated on and made good progress.
